Staff Accountant
Typically an entry-level position, staff accountants may have 0-3 years experience in public accounting. At RMSB&G, staff accountants are supervised and mentored by senior accountants and perform increasingly complex accounting and tax assignments according to their individual performance.

Senior Accountant
Senior accountants generally have at least two years' experience as a staff accountant or equivalent experience. These professionals perform most engagements with little supervision, and direct and review the work of staff accountants.
They are expected to be capable of making decisions on most accounting, tax, and auditing matters. When unusual situations arise, they present pertinent information to the engagement manager or partner and follow their advice.

Manager/Senior Manager
Managers are involved in nearly all of the areas for which partners are responsible. They have demonstrated technical proficiency and the ability to supervise and complete engagements, possess a thorough knowledge of the firm's policies and procedures, and serve as liaisons between partners, clients, and senior accountants.
Senior managers exhibit the same positive characteristics as managers. In addition, senior managers possess the experience and overall potential necessary to be considered for admission as a partner in the firm.
Managers generally have at least three years' experience at the level of senior accountant. Senior managers usually have a minimum of three years' experience as a manager, and are considered to be future candidates for partner.
